Anil Kumar Urmil

Anil Kumar Urmil is from Goa, India, and is a graduate of the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune, India, and that's where he met assistant director Nelvan Thomas Binny.  Anil has lived in Los Angeles for many years, where he was one of the first trainers for the Avid and Lightworks editing systems for the Motion Picture Editor’s Guild in Hollywood.  He began in feature films as executive producer (with Felicity Newman) of the Paul Davids film “STARRY NIGHT,” on which he also served as additional editor.  Anil brought to JESUS IN INDIA his vast knowledge of India and connections which enabled access for the production in many temples and other exotic locales which might otherwise have been unattainable.

Through his Felicity Films, he assembled the crew in India for JESUS IN INDIA arranging for the logistics of production there and even obtaining consent for the historic interview with the Shankaracharya, spiritual leader of Hinduism who had never before given an interview for attribution about the subject of Jesus’ travels in India.  Recently he has worked as a director on a TV pilot on an unrelated topic for JESUS IN INDIA associate producer Robert Rotstan, Jr.
